Dress up your computer!

When the earth walks into the new millennium, new blood is being released on and on into the music world. Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears(see my favorite picture), and Jessica Simpson are gradually taking the place of Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, and Shania Twain, who have ever been the leaders of female music for quite a long time.

Let's see these up-and-coming youngsters' achievements. In February, Christina beat out all the other nominees for 42nd Grammy Awards as "Best New Artist". Everybody knows Grammy Awards is the highest honor for the singers. One of Jessica's singles, "I Wanna Love You Forever," brings to the audience a great impression. Tommy Mottola (Chairman and CEO, Sony Music Entertainment) did tell her: "You are going to change the world with the power of your heart and your music." As for Britney, she recently won the Teen.com Entertainment Award for "Hottest Female." Furthermore, she has Prince William's E-mail address. Whoa! All of those are proving us THEY ARE NO DOUBT NEW POP LEADERS. By the way, have you noticed that they are all from "Mickey Mouse Club"?

Well, it's better to see once than hear a hundred times. Here are three full-length singles from them, respectively.

"Sometimes" Britney Spears

"I Wanna Love You Forever" Jessica Simpson

"What a Girl Wants" Christina Aguilera

Are they cute?

Guess who is who?

Their prospects are brilliant; tomorrow will be theirs!

"So many words from the broken heart..." Yes, this is the latest song of Backstreet Boys', "Show Me The Meaning of Being Lonely."

Hey! We are Backstreet Boys!
Click their faces to hear the greetings from them, respectively. (QuickTime Plug-in Only)

Recognized as the biggest pop music group in the world, the Backstreet Boys have been redefining the meaning of pop music success. They successively released many magnificent songs: "I'll Never Break Your Heart;" "Quit Playing Games (With My Heart);" "As Long As You Love Me;" "Everybody (Backstreet's Back);" "All I Have to Give," etc. (Listen to some audio clips above.) Therefore, they were named among Entertainment Weekly's "Best Entertainers of 1998." They were also among People magazine's 1998 "Men We Love," and "25 Most Intriguing People Of The Year."

Last year, one year to the new millennium, the Backsteet Boys released a new album: "MILLENNIUM," which shows these five young men are reinventing pop music stardom once again. MILLENNIUM entered the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart at #1 the week of June 5, having sold 1,134,000 copies in its first week of release. Outside the U.S., MILLENNIUM also dominates the worldwide charts, landing at the #1 spot in Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hong Kong, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Italy, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan and Thailand. What a success!

But this year, the Backstreet Boys might confront an "enemy"--N'SYNC, another pop music group. In March, they released their new album: "No Strings Attached." The first single " Bye, Bye, Bye" in it was the #1 most added song at over 200 Top 40 stations in its first week at radio. This breaks the previous record of 145 adds held by the Backstreet Boys single "I Want It That Way."

Don't worry, though. The Backstreet Boys won't disappoint us. They will continue releasing more and more great songs to gratify all their fans: older and younger, boys and girls, all nationalities!

All right, after so many words, take a break!
